Vacuum Elevators Really “Suck”

Vacuum elevators really suck! No really, they do! We don’t mean that in a bad way but in a mechanical way; they literally use suction power to power the elevator car. Shocked? We figured you would be. If you don’t know how a vacuum elevator works then keep reading to learn how it uses air to lift and lower you to each level of your home. Elevators companies in pakistan

How It works – Vacuum elevators are very simple so don’t worry this won’t get overly technical. Glass elevators are so named because they operate using air pressure. If you want to ascend, a pump located either on the car itself, or at the top of the glass shaft, pumps air out of the vacuum tube (shaft) above you. As the air pressure drops above the elevator car, the air below it naturally pushes the elevator car up the tube. As you approach your destination the pump allows the air pressure to equalize and you slowly come to a halt. Want to go back down? When you prompt the elevator to descend the pump reduce the air pressure below the car. As the air pressure decrease the car slowly descends. Since the vacuum elevator operates simply on air, you don’t have to worry about all those extra cables, liquids and headaches that come with traditional elevators; pretty cool right?

Reliable and Safe – Since Glass elevators operate by using air and do not require very many moving parts, they are incredibly reliable and safe. Have you ever been afraid of getting stuck in an elevator? If so it’s a justifiable fear.
